Charles E Bramlet, Jr, MD

Dr. Charles E Bramlet, Jr. originates from Lafayette, Louisiana. Following undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana, he completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Bramlet completed an internship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, then completed a residency in General Psychiatry at Alton Ochsner Foundation.

Dr. Bramlet returned home to the Acadiana area in 1994 to practice General Psychiatry. He has worked in a variety of settings including the Department of Health and Hospitals, pain management for those with comorbid mental health concerns, and in a continuum of hospital settings. He has devoted most of his career to the care of those with chronic mental health illness, as well as care for the Geriatric population.

Dr. Bramlet treats a variety of mental health conditions in the adult and geriatric population including but not limited to Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Dementia related conditions, and Schizophrenia. He provides services in a variety of locations including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospital and nursing homes. He has enjoyed providing mental health care in rural underserved southwestern Louisiana for over three decades and continues to do so.

Current hospitals where Dr. Bramlet practices and serves as Medical Director include Jennings Senior Care Hospital, Compass Behavioral Center of Marksville, and Compass Behavioral Center in Crowley. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer for the Compass Health continuum of hospitals and outpatient programs in central, southwestern and southeastern Louisiana. Dr. Bramlet provides outpatient services in Lafayette, Mamou, Lake Charles, Jennings, and Crowley.
